Wood (17.02.01)
Wood is separated into different grades before it is sent off for a range of purposes including Biomass, Animal Bedding, Chipboard Manufacture and Heating Fuel.
Hardcore (17.01.07)
Using a screening process to separate the hardcore it is then sent for a variety of uses in the Construction industry
Soil (17.05.04)
All soil is screened and chemically tested, providing it is of legal quality it is then sent to be used in various Land Restoration Projects.
Metal (17.04.07)
Metal is separated into ferrous and non-ferrous. Refiners and metal producers then buy these metals for smelting and reprocessing
Plastic (17.02.03)
After segregation it is then sent for secondary sorting, cleaning & shredding. Recycled plastics are then used in different types of product manufacturing
Paper & Cardboard (20.01.01)
After segregation it is then sent to companies who specialise in Paper Recycling throughout the UK.
Plasterboard (17.08.02)
Plasterboard has toxic properties so must be removed from general waste by law. Once this is done it is then sent to specialist recycling companies.
Green waste (20.02.01)
Once separated green waste is then sent to manufacturers and others who use it for compost, wood chip and other purposes
RDF (19.12.12)
After the sorting process the residual waste left behind is then sent to companies that specialise in the production of refuse derived fuel (RDF)
